Combining game viewing with sun, sea and sand. Starting with the majestic Victoria Falls this tour takes us to the historic Great Zimbabwe ruins, the amazing beaches of Mozambique, Big Five game viewing at Hwange national park and Kruger - South Africa’s flagship national park.

Welcome to Zimbabwe! On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe you will be met and transferred to your start hotel. This afternoon explore the mighty Victoria Falls on a guided tour. Overnight - Amadeus Garden Guest House - Victoria Falls
Days 2 - 3: Hwange N.P.
Victoria Falls - Hwange National Park. After breakfast we depart Victoria Falls and make our way to Hwange National Park. The afternoon is spent on a game drive with a visit to the Painted Dogs Centre. Hwange National Park is one of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife and is home to vast herds of elephant, buffalo, and zebra as well as a large concentration of giraffe. Day 4: Matapos
Hwange National Park - Matopos. We leave the beauty of the Hwange National Park behind us and head to the Matapos area, the Matapos Hills comprise an extraordinary collection of huge bare granite hills with gravity-defying boulders scattered all over the countryside to create a quite unique and rather mysterious landscape. The national park is famous for its outstanding views, San (bushman) painted caves, wildlife (especially the Black Eagle) and as the chosen burial place of Cecil Rhodes who named this his favourite spot. Day 5: Great Zimbabwe
Matapos - Great Zimbabwe. After breakfast this morning we drive to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins via Gweru before checking into our accommodation overlooking Lake Mutirikwe. The ruins, also known as the capital of the Queen of Sheba according to an age-old legend, are a unique testimony to the Bantu civilization of the Shona between the 11th and 15th centuries and was renowned as an important trading centre from the Middle Ages onwards. Day 6: Eastern Highlands, Zimbabwe
Great Zimbabwe - Mutare - Eastern Highlands. Today we leave Great Zimbabwe and drive via Mutare to the Bvumbu Mountains located in the east of the country and bordering Mozambique. This area is Zimbabwe’s gateway to the sea and is known as the Eastern Highlands. The region is adorned with cool green forests, rolling hills, trout filled streams and rugged mountain peaks. Days 7 - 8: Vilanculos, Mozambique
Eastern Highlands - Vilanculos. Departing early today, as we have a long drive ahead of us, we cross the border into Mozambique and head south to the coastal town of Vilanculos, the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago. The village of Vilanculos is near the beach and about halfway between Maputo and Beira. Here you’ll find buzzing markets, restaurants, banks and quaint supermarkets. Day 8 is at leisure to explore the village or just to relax on the beach. Overnight - Bluewaters Beach Resort - Vilanculos (B:2, L:2, D:1)
Days 9 - 10: Tofo
Vilanculos - Tofo. After breakfast we drive along the coast via the sleepy and neat town of Inhambane with its graceful dhows on the usually tranquil water. We continue through a coconut grove to our stop for the next two nights – Tofo. Historically a small coastal fishing village, it is now popular for its uncrowded 8km long beach. Overnight - Bamboozi Beach Lodge - Tofo (B:2, L:1)
Day 11: Massingir
Tofo - Massingir. We leave the Mozambiquan coastline paradise behind us and drive west towards Massingir close to the South African border. We settle down for the night at Albufeira Camp, close to the Massingir Dam wall. Overnight - Albufeira Camp - Massingir (B, L, D)
Days 12 - 13: Kruger National Park
Massingir - Kruger National Park. Today we travel to South Africa through the Giriyondo gate into the world-renowned Kruger National Park - South Africa’s most famous and biggest game reserve. Kruger National Park has nearly 2 million hectares of unrivalled diversity of life forms that fuses with historical and archaeological sights - this is real Africa. The world renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks amongst the best in Africa.

On day 13 we depart the camp at sunrise for a full day of game viewing with the chance of spotting the Big 5 again, while making our way to one of the southern camps. Our last night in the park will be enjoyed around the campfire with a typical South African Braai (BBQ). Overnight - Letaba Rest Camp - Kruger N.P. (B:2, L:2, D:2)
Kruger National Park - Johannesburg. After a leisurely breakfast, we head back to Johannesburg via the Abel Erasmus pass and the small towns of Lydenburg and Dullstroom. Overnight - Airport Grand Hotel - Johannesburg (B, L)
Day 15: Johannesburg
Kruger National Park - Johannesburg. After breakfast your tour draws to a conclusion. Onward departure transfer. (B)
