Antarctica Visas Requirements

UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and South African passport holders don’t require a visa for a stay of less than 90 days in Argentina and Antarctica. Please ensure that your passport is valid for 6 months after the date of your return.

 

Please note: Visa requirements are subject to change. Visa procurement is the responsibility of the traveller and not that of on the go. Please double-check all visa requirements at least one month before travel as the information above should simply be used as a guide.

 

Reciprocal Fee to be paid upon entry into Argentina:

A Reciprocal fee is being introduced in 2009. This will apply to citizens 22 western countries including United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

 

Everyone entering Argentina with a Canadian, Australian, US or UK passport will be required to pay a reciprocity fee upon arrival in the country. The details have not been fully determined however it is believed that this fee will be in the range of USD $100 to $140.

 

Once the charge is paid, it covers the visitor for re-entry for a 10 year period.

Departure tax:

Argentina currently has a departure tax of: USD $5 from Ushuaia and USD $18 from Buenos Aires.
