Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday. We will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Cairo

Today we will take you to visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. Day 3: Cairo - Abu Simbel

Today you will fly to Abu simbel (via Aswan) for a sightseeing trip to remember! Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Tonight we have included tickets for you to the sound and light show. Overnight - Grand Pyramids Hotel

Day 4: Abu Simbel - Aswan

At sunrise you have the chance to visit Abu Simbel. Then you will travel to Aswan by flight. You will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a trip on a traditional sailing boat called a felucca ride around Agha Khan. Later, free time to perhaps do some shopping in the colourful souks and markets or simply relax in this attractive town which straddles the River Nile. Overnight - Nefertari Hotel

Day 5: Aswan - Nile Cruising

This morning after breakfast a visit out of town takes us to the mighty High Dam – a modern feat of engineering, the by–product for which is Lake Nasser, the world’s largest artificial lake! Continuing, we enjoy a short boat trip to Agilika Island for Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Later you check into your Nile Cruise boat. Overnight - Isis Island Hotel

Day 6: Nile Cruising

Relax on the sun deck and enjoy the spectacular views and great facilities and service on board as the cruiser plies its course. Today you will disembark for a visit to The Temple of Kom Ombo which is dedicated to two gods, Sobek the crocodile God and Harveris the Sun God. Overnight - M/S Al Kahila

Day 7: Nile Cruising

Continuing on toward Luxor stopping at Edfu en route for sightseeing. Later this afternoon you will arrive in to Luxor. Overnight - M/S Al Kahila

Day 8: Nile Cruising - Luxor

Today the massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments we will see as we arrive on the West Bank for our half day sightseeing. These are all that remain of the temple of Amenophis III. We then proceed to visit the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Later we visit the East Bank – including Luxor & Karnak Temples. Overnight - M/S Al Kahila

Day 9: Luxor - Cairo

Day at leisure. Later tonight we transfer you the train station for your overnight train back to Cairo. Overnight - Isis Luxor

Day 10: Cairo

Collect from train station this morning. Then enjoy a full day tour to visit Egyptian Museum, Citadel & Khan with local English speaking guide. Overnight - Sleeper Train

Day 11: Cairo

Today we bid you farewell and transfer you to the airport for your onward departing flight. Overnight - Pyramisa Hotel
