Ain Sukhna Holidays

Ain Sukhna Travel

Although it is named after the hot mineral springs that flow from the nearby Gebel Ataqa mountain, Ain Soukhna's main attractions are its beautiful beaches and year round sunshine. It is the closest beach resort to Cairo and although it has predominantly been an Egyptian holiday destination, it is fast changing, becoming popular with tourists.

The pristine, white sandy beaches, clear blue sea and coral reefs just offshore make Ain Soukna a beautiful paradise. Schools of dolphins can be seen darting through the turquoise water. The area also has some golf courses and plenty of water sports are available

The Red Sea monasteries are Egypt’s oldest monasteries and trace their origins back to the infancy of Christian monasticism, observing rituals that have scarcely changed over sixteen centuries. You don't have to be religious to appreciate their tranquil atmosphere and imposing setting. St Paul Monastery and St Anthony Monastery can both be visited but both are closed to the public over Christmas and Lent.
