Jaisalmer Festival is a celebration of traditional Rajasthani culture. Over three days you’ll see camel races, turban-tying competitions, hear traditional Rajasthani music, see fire dancing and the customary moustache contest: fittingly called the Mr. Desert competition.

The Jaisalmer Desert festival was started in order to showcase to visitors as many facets of Rajasthani life as possible, making it ideal for foreigners who want to get a feel for the traditional way of life in this part of India. Rounded off with a surreal performance by local folk singers on the moon-lit dunes of Sam, the Jaisalmer Festival promises to be a lot of fun.
