From the moment you step foot into Djemaa el Fna, it is an assault on the senses! During the day, it is a little less chaotic, with only a few of the musicians, tea sellers and fruit stalls around and a random man with a monkey that you could have photos taken with. At night it truly comes alive, when the food stalls get cooking and the smell of spices pervades the night air. Musicians and acrobats abound, the sounds of drums emanating across the square. Its best to get a vantage point from one of the upstairs restaurants and have a bird’s eye view of the melting pot below. no comments
