The Petra Monastery

Posted By Sally | 1st Oct 2010

It was a hot summers day in Petra when we entered for our full day exploring. Our guide told us it was 1000 steps to the Monastery and we were determined to make it. It was a hot and long climb/walk up to it, but it was definitely worth every step! The façade of the Monastery was enormous and so intact, spectacular, photos don’t do it justice. The view from the end of the world as they call it, is just amazing, and the countryside is spectacular. Definitely was a moment I will remember.
