Pukka St Petes
Posted By Charlie |
18th Jun 2010
St Petersburg, a city of Tsars, violent history, stunning Baroque building and the incredible Hermitage – thousands of exhibits from Kandinsky through to carriages of the Tsars, it is easy to spend days sightseeing and still not see everything the city has to offer. The Church on Spilled Blood was definitely one of the highlights, at first I thought the inside was covered in beautiful paintings until I looked closer and saw it was tiny individual mosaic pieces. Head on to St Isaacs Cathedral and walk to the top to get a picturesque panorama of the city; without a doubt St Pete’s is my favourite city in Russia! no comments
