Istanbul is a great city. It has a unique atmosphere, Mediterranean/European/Middle Eastern. If you are ever there firstly you must go to the Egyptian Spice Market but something even better I discovered when last there is a small shop on the outside of the market. It specialises in Turkish sweets and has the best quality Turkish Delight I have ever come across in my life. The store is on the East side of the Spice Market and is named Haci Bakir it was established in 1777 and the best flavours available are pistachio, rose and hazelnut but in all honesty they are all very good.
