Local Interaction

We offer a range of opportunities for you to get to know the locals and learn about their culture and lifestyle whilst travelling. The best way to learn about any culture is to live in the homes of the people, and participate in day to day activities.

In Africa there's chances to visit local schools in Swaziland and mingle with the Masaai in Kenya. On our 3 day Hwange bolt on the Vic Falls border of Zimbabwe you can combine learning about wild dogs, with game drives and a visit to a local Community Primary Schools project where you can learn about rural African living. Moving north there's a chance to get your hands dirty on our Eco Egypt tour, which mixes cleaning the Nile with visits to a Children's home for the homeless and disabled as well as seeing the top tourist spots.

In South America there are homestays with the Amantani Islanders so that when the tourists go home you remain to get to know this isolated tribe on Lake Titicaca in Peru.

Whether it's through community visits, accompanying Berbers in Morrocco on their bi-annual migration, experiencing the way of Bedouin life in Petra or using homestay accommodation where you can experience real local warmth and hospitality.
