Postcards from the edge!

I recently returned from a 17 day ‘Dunes and Tombs’ tour with On The Go which began on December 30th 2009. I wish to pass on my thanks to On The Go, and especially our two amazing tour guides, Mohamed Alam and Mohammed Ghanem who represented both themselves and your tour company in a professional manner at all times. I have travelled on a number of occasions with other tour companies and after seeing Egypt with On The Go I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others considering travelling to Egypt.

The pace of the tour varied – at times we were kept very busy as there was so much to see and do, but also the time set aside for relaxing was well appreciated as well. This was such a fantastic opportunity to experience so much Egypt has to offer in a short space of time.

Our two main tour guides (the two Mohameds…) were perfect choices for the job! They had a wealth of knowledge and information they were only too willing to share with us, and went into just the right amount of detail when explaining things. It was very obvious that they took great pride in their country, culture and work. I was especially impressed by the manner in which they conducted themselves; at all times they were friendly, courteous, helpful, attentive, and so much fun to be around – they are a definite asset to your company. They quickly developed a strong rapport with all members of the group, and were very skilled in managing all of our different personalities!! Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and this was very much appreciated by all members of our tour group.

It is difficult to pinpoint the highlight of our Egypt trip….there were so many! When you can choose from riding a camel past the pyramids, camping in the desert, Abu Simbel, cruising down the Nile, shopping, or quad biking in Dahab….any one of these could be the single highlight of a trip. To experience them all was an amazing opportunity, made all the more special by the wonderful new friendships we made while on this incredible holiday.

Please pass on my gratitude to the On The Go Egypt team. Our tour guides and other members of the team made our Egyptian holiday a very memorable and awesome experience!

We returned from our trip to Calcutta, Sikkim and Darjeeling on Sunday. We had a really brilliant holiday, very many thanks to you all for your help in organising and booking it. All the arrangements were perfect, the hotels excellent, especially the Windamere in Darjeeling and the Taj & Oberoi in Calcutta. The internal flight and train travel were much better than we had expected (esp the train!).

But the most impressive thing was the quality of service from your team in Calcutta and Darjeeling. There was always someone to meet us, even when we turned up 3 hours late on arrival having been delayed in Delhi by fog.

The guide, Suresh, we had in Sikkim/Darjeeling was outstanding, really helpful and knowledgeable. And we had very good drivers
everywhere.

This is the 5th time we have been to India and I think the arrangements were the best we have experienced. Your agents are really good, well done.

We are hoping to do a 'return to South India' trip sometime, not sure exactly where as we have been to quite a lot of the places you feature.

Once again, many thanks - we will have no hesitation in recommending On the Go to our friends.

I have just returned from the Go tours' 9 day King Tutankhamen tour of Egypt and wanted to let you know it was outstanding and exceeded all expectations - the highlights are too many to list!
Our guide, Sheriff, made the tour even more enjoyable with his great humour, in-depth knowledge of Egyptology, huge generosity and enthusiasm. It was all the little things that Sheriff took care of whilst looking after the people in our tour group that showed attention to detail and ensured that the tour ran smoothly. A number of people who had done other tours with various companies all agreed that it was the best tour they had been on to date.
Sheriff is clearly an asset to your company as well as a great ambassador for Egypt.
I will be recommending On the Go tours to my friends and family and look forward to visiting Egypt again soon with your company for a tour of the red Sea and Jordan.

Hi Charlie - just a quick note to let you know that our xmas trip to Turkey was amazing! Our guide was very well organised, the hotels were excellent and the scenery and sights were incredible. There were some other teachers on the trip as well so we all had a few good nights out and enjoyed some of the best Turkish food i've ever eaten - and excellent value for money!

Hey John -
Xmas/NY in Morocco was excellent, a great escape for winter sun and really great fun! The group were all about the same age so we had a good laugh and the berber camp and Sahara camel trek was awsome. The history, scenery, shopping, food, culture and surfing made it an unforgettable experience - would love to say we'd be back but we have a travel wish-list as long our arms.
Next stop, ANZAC day!

Just letting you know my King Ramses tour was absolutely fantastic - I loved the whole tour, it was very well organised and the tour leaders over there are brilliant. I only wish I got to stay longer in Dahab, I could have easily spent another week there. We spent way too much money being taken in by those adorable Bedouin girls - guess they can spot a soft target from a mile away!

Again, thanks so much for your help and for recommending the tour. I look forward to my next On-The-Go experience.

I have throughoutly enjoyed this trip to India and would love to come back to explore Goa.

I have just returned from a trip on your Egypt King Tut tour and I had such a great time I felt compelled to just send a quick email to let you know!

After living in London for nearly 4 years now I have been on many holidays to lots of different counties, and I can honestly the trip to Egypt now ranks at the top of the list. The sights, history and people were quite simply amazing!

I also think it is worth making a special mention to our tour leader and guide Sam. Not only was his knowledge and organisation first rate, but his enthusiasm, and sense of humour was fantastic. On some of the early morning starts when everyone was sitting on the bus a little downcast due to the hour of the morning, to see Sam bounding in with a huge smile on his face talking enthusiastically about the day ahead really lifted the whole group.

In years to come I will be able to look back on this trip, and reminisce about the amazing sights of Egypt and the friends (including our guide Sam!) I have made. You have now got yourselves an un-official sales rep as I am telling all my fiends that that should be going to Egypt now.
