Day 1: Istanbul
Arrive Istanbul airport where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day your own way. Overnight - Istanbul
Embark upon a full day city tour, visiting Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Byzantine Hippodrome. To top off the day finally explore the vast and bustling Grand Bazaar. Overnight - Istanbul (B)
Day 3: Safranbolu
Istanbul - Safranbolu. Drive to Safranbolu; a charming UNESCO World Heritage Listed town, with a rich history, boasting a glorious collection of old Ottoman houses and art which represents traditional Turkish life and culture. Wander along the ancient narrow cobbled streets and see some of the traditional crafts and trades that are still practised today. Overnight - Safranbolu (B)
Day 4: Sinop
Safranbolu - Sinop. Leaving Safranbolu we drive to Sinop, visiting the Ancient Tombs in Boybat en route. Arriving at Sinop we admire the breathtaking views offered from Sinop Castle and visit the beautiful Sinop Fjords, which are the only unique formation of this kind in Turkey. The final stop of the day is at Alaadin Mosque, built in 1214 after the conquest of Sinop during the Selcuklu Period. Overnight - Sinop (B)
Day 5: Amasya
Sinop - Amasya. Drive to Amasya. Set in a spectacular gorge, stretching along the banks of the Yesilirmak (Green River), Amasya is the oldest settlement in the region, famous for royal tombs carved into limestone cliffs which are illuminated at night. Other attractions include Maidens Palace, the Archaeological Museum which is home to the mummies of the Ilkhanli rulers of Amasya, the clock tower, Medrese and Amasya Tower. Overnight - Amasya (B)
Day 6: Amasya
Amasya - Corum. After breakfast enjoy a walk along the banks of the Green River, see the Amasya Wooden Houses and the monument of Amasya’s most famous citizen - Strabo, an ancient historian. Visit the 15th century Beyazit Mosque Complex before making your way to Corum. Overnight - Corum (B)
Day 7: Ankara
Corum - Ankara. Drive to Hattusas, once the capital of the Hittite Empire. Before visiting the main capital, visit Yazilikaya (Turkish for inscribed rock) to see the holy, open air sanctuary of shrines and rock-cut reliefs of deities, as the sunlight shines upon them in the morning. Then explore the main sights of Hattusas, including Lion’s Gate, Tunnel, King’s Gate, Citadel and the Grand Temple.

After touring Hattusas, drive to Ankara for your onward flight or consider extending your stay to explore the capital. (B)
